TMI - Elementary, Field
This is my last Monday here in Tunas Mekar Indonesia. I attended the Flag Ceremony. The ceremony started at 7:00 AM. It was held in the field at the back of Building B, Elementary, TMI
After the Flag Ceremony, the winner in the recently held English Competition in Darmajaya was announced. Abraham Julius Setairdhi, a Grade 11 Science student bagged the 2nd place in the Newscasting Competition.
Indeed, one of the best practices of Tunas Mekar Indonesia is the recognition of the great minds and talents that the students have.
TOEFL Speaking Test
To maintain the English Proficiency of Teachers, TMI conducts annual Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The Test includes reading, writing, listening and speaking. TOEFL is a test which measures people's English language skills.
TMI - Elementary, ESL Room
Speaking Test is the final stage of the TOEFL. Speaking Test can be taken for 30 minutes. My schedule for the test is from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM in ESL Room, Building B, TMI - Elementary. The test was facilitated by Mr. Taufik, Head of the English Department. The Test is composed of six questions.
This annual test is great help for teachers to maintain and to improve English Proficiency.

WEEK 4, DAY 17 (February 13, 2018) Tuesday
Pasar Tugu
To share the taste and aroma of Filipino Foods, TMI organized a cooking lesson for Senior High School students.
The principal gave me the task to create the rubric for the cooking lesson.
To find the ingredients for "Tinola", I went to the traditional market of Bandar Lampung. The traditional market is known as "Pasar Tugu".
Pasar Tugu is a traditional market in Bandar Lampung City. It is located in Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Tanjung Karang, Tj. Agung Raya, Kedamaian, Kota Bandar Lampung, Lampung 35121, Indonesia.
I was accompanied by the TMI-SHS principal to buy the ingredients for the afternoon cooking lesson of Grade 10.
At 2:00 PM, the cooking lesson for Grade 10 started. The Grade 1o Science and Social Class is divided into four groups. Each group will cook "Tinola".
Tinola in Tagalog or Visayan, or la uya in Ilocano is a soup-based dish served as an appetizer or main entrée in the Philippines. The dish is cooked with chicken, wedges of chayote, and leaves of the siling labuyo chili pepper in broth flavored with ginger, onions and fish sauce

WEEK 4, DAY 18 (February 14, 2018) Wednesday
Preparation for the Cooking Lesson.
Together with Ms. Puji, I went to Pasar Tugu (Traditional Market in Bandar Lampung) to buy the ingredients for the cooking lesson for Grade 11 and 12.
Grade 11 and 12 are scheduled to have a cooking lesson. The students will cook Filipino recipes namely Pine Chicken Tinola, Chicken Adobo with Pineapple and Ginataang Manok
EVALUATION PERIOD
This is the day that my cooperating teachers and the principal of TMI will do the evaluation of my teaching performance. I have three cooperating teachers in TMI namely Mrs. Septi Kurnia Putri, History Teacher; Mrs. Marlisa Puspita Sari, Economcs Teacher; Yudistira Peristianika, Geography Teacher
The principal together with the cooperating teachers had a meeting to evaluate my performance as a practice teacher.

Prodi B Inggris, FKIP, UNILA…
At 6:30 AM, I went to Prodi B Inggris, FKIP, UNILA to meet Dr. Ari Nurweni and give my report regarding to my pedagogical experiences in Tunas Mekar Indonesia. The evaluation of our pedagogical experiences was held in Prodi B Inggris, Fakultas Keguruan Dan Ilmu Pendidikan (Faculty of Teacher Training and Education), Universitas Lampung.
I shared to Dr. Ari my teaching experiences, and the challenges that I have encountered. Dr. Ari also asked me about the benefits that I got from the program. Also, she asked for the suggestions that can help to improve the SEA Teacher Program.

WEEK 4, DAY 20 (February 16, 2018) Friday
FKIP Unila organized an video testimony for us to share our pedagogical expereiences. The video testimony was held in Gedung Rektorat, Universitas Lampung.
The six SEA Teacher participants from Philippines gathered in Gedung Rektorat.
