Based on the program structure, the first of the practicum shall be the orientation and class observation.

This is my first day for orientation and class observation in Tunas Mekar Indonesia - Senior High School.

I observed the Economics Class (Grade 10 Social) of Ms. Marlisa Puspita Sari (Ms Icha). The Economcs class is divided into two periods, from 07:45 AM to 08:30, and from 8:30 to 9:15. The regular time allotment for the Economics class of Grade 10 Social is 45 minutes. Grade 10 Social is composed of nine students. The class is being held in TMI-SHS Building C, 2nd floor, Room Helsinki-Finland. The topic for this day is about the Law of Demand. Ms. Icha used practice drills to further explain the relationship of quantity demand and price.

Homeroom Time

I had also the chance to observe Homeroom routines 03:10 PM to 03:30 PM. Ms. Icha, as the homeroom adviser of Grade 11 Science. During Homeroom Time, students together with their adviser discuss about matters concerning academic and extracurricular activities.

Grade 11 Science discussed their project in Civics Class. In Civics Class, they have to simulate an International Agreement. The subject teacher provided the procedure on the creation of an International Agreement. Students used the homeroom time to plan the project. Also, their adviser, Ms. Icha, gave some advice.

After the Homeroom Time, students with same religions gathered as part of the school routines.

TMI-SHS is using a book prescribed by the Cambridge University.

This is my 2nd day for orientation and class observation in Tunas Mekar Indonesia - Senior High School.

The class was held in TMI-SHS Building C, 2nd floor, Room Helsinki-Finland.

Grade 11 Social are outgoing students. They prefer game-based learning experiences rather than listening to a lecture.

In the afternoon, Grade 11 Social had a History class with Mrs. Septi Kurnia Putri. The class was held in Shibuya Room (Computer Laboratory of Tunas Mekar Indonesia - Senior High School. Since Grade 11 Social prefers game-based learning experience, Mrs. Septi used Kahoot.
